The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
