Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
