FC Barcelona to Host First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
